To find the Option Chain, click on the Main Menu icon up at the top left corner of your platform and then go to Trading. After that, load up the Option Chain and you will see that it looks similar to the image below:
1. Filter Menu: This is where you can change the settings of the Option Chain feature. You can hide certain columns, filter for specific expirations, and change appearances.
2. Symbol Linking: Link the Option Chain to your charts and click on any of the symbols to change them! Make sure that your Option Chain and Charts are linked with the same color.
3. Symbol Search: Click and Type into this box to pull up the option chain for a specific ticker.
4. Strategy Selection: Click this dropdown menu to view the different option strategies both. The Option chain will update and you will get different results for each selection. The different strategies available are:
Single
Butterfly
Calendar
Collar W/ Stock
Condor
Covered
Diagonal
Iron Butterly
Iron Condor
Straddle
Strangle
Vertical
5. Strike Quantity: Click this dropdown menu to select the amount of strike prices you would like to see in each expiration. By default, you can select, 6, 10, 20, 30, 50, or All. If you look towards the bottom of the drop down you will see a number field that you can type in a custom number for the strike quantity.
6. Trade filter: Toggle between Calls, Puts, or Both to quickly filter your options chain.
7. Sorting/Viewing Filters: Toggle these icons to sort the options chain data. The first toggle is going to sort the strikes by ascending or descending order. The second is going change the scroll settings to have either mirrored or aligned scroll. Lastly you can sort the expirations to be either tabbed or listed.
8. Option Chain Grid: Take advantage of the different grids in the Option Chain component:
