Standard Error - Indicator Formula

The standard error is the estimated standard deviation of a population of statistical samples.

Generally, the standard error will be smaller when more data points are used in the calculation because the statistic will approach the actual value. The smaller the standard error, the more representative the sample will be of the overall population.

The standard error may involve variance between the populations measured mean and one that is considered known or recognized as accurate.
