Analyst Ratings


The analyst ratings tool offers access to a vast database of ratings from Wall Street analyst firms, brokerages, funds, and institutions. Analyst Ratings cover a wide range of US stocks and help you measure the expected performance of stocks over a specific period. Review ratings and recommendations data from all major sell-side analysts, capturing 100-150 analyst actions per day. Witness established direct partnerships with major sell-side banks to curate a database of the highest-quality ratings data in the marketplace.

The columns shown in Analyst Ratings are:


Symbol - This column shows the different symbols that have entries. You can click the column header to sort the symbols alphabetically.


Time Announced -This column shows the time that the rating was announced.


Day Announced -This column shows the date of which the rating was announced.


Name -This column shows the full company name of the entry.


Analyst Firm -This column shows the name of the sell-side firm. If you click on the column header you can sort alphabetically.


Analyst Name -This column shows the name of the analyst. If you click on the column header you can sort alphabetically.


Actions on Security -This column shows what the sell-side action is. For example, Upgrades, Reinstates, Initiates Coverage on, Maintains,


Prior Rating -This column shows what the rating of the security was prior to the new one.


Rating -This column shows what the current rating is now for the security.


Action Price Target -This column shows the current action on the price target. For example, Raises, Lowers, and Announces


Prior Price Target -This column shows the prior price target for the security.


Price Target -This column shows the current price target for the security.


Like many tools in WealthCharts, Analyst Ratings also offers symbol and date range filters which will help you narrow down your research! Select the funnel icon on the top left corner of the Analyst Ratings component and you will see the menu below.
